Adding sats

Is there anyway i can manually add 9 east to my Dreambox 600pvr and then scan it for programs?, it is not listed on the pre programmed sats. if so a step by step guide would be very welcome.

The satellites are stored in the satellites.xml file.

On the DM500 it's stored in /share/tuxbox but it will be somewhere else on teh DM600, maybe /etc/tuxbox.

Edit it on your PC with a unix editor (I use UltraEdit) and add your satellite.

You might not be able to copy it back to /etc/tuxbox as it might be read-only and I'm not sure where it will go as I've not got a DM600 so hopefully one of the other guys will confirm that for me.

You could try adding the sat manually by doing

press menu
setup
sat config
highlight 10.0W and press the red button to erase it
press the yellow button, a new box will appear at the bottom with a random satellite in it
press ok
scroll down to 9.0W
press ok
press green to save
press exit
go down to auto transponder scan
press ok
now in the list you should have 9.0W, highlight it and press ok
wait for a transponder lock
press green to scan
