dreambox dm500s only 5 channels working

dreambox dm500s not working had problem before and was told to restart router and would work and did, last night went off again restarted router but still not working..? any ideas what i can do..

Check the ip address on the dm500 hasnt changed.

Setup, communication setting, Network settings

It can yes if dhcp ticked router assigns different IP. Especially if you have a few devices running. Wireless etc.

Check it and see.

ok ip address is wrong ive changed to mine.. but still not working do i need to restart the box..

in ur browser type http://ip.of.dreambox:16001

go to servers and see if your connected to your server

If you only have 1 source i would say so.

it stopped working last week.. and was told the reboot the router and it would start working but its stopped working again, would the ip address change on its own if it had been working fine all this time..?? when it had not been affected before

If you are using a money grabbing server then it could be server overload and you not getting anything. Or provider is doing something to server.

If you are only receiving a line from someone wouldnt matter if your ip changed in the box really.

Untick the box marked DHCP on your dreambox then the ip address will remain unchanged even if you reset your router.
