Black Small Remote!! Help

HI all

My remote controll unit was working fine until today. Now it seems my buttons are incorrect

Help button is now exit
mute button is now tv
left and right buttons are now up and down

Can anyone help
dm500s running gemini 4.40

Also how do i change my channel numbers?
ive used dreambox edit and uploaded the new channel numbers which now show in the info pane but it hasnt changed the numbers as they were scanned on initial setup?

Im a noob and these Q's may have been asked before. I have tried using search but to no avail

Factory reset did the trick but could it have been a an update to my bouquet that did it?
