My Dreambox, which was a chinese clone, set on fire today after connecting it for the first time. It cost me ?9 in shipping, and another ?14.25 to send it back to China. My point is, buy it from a UK supplier then IF it needs sending back, you don't have to waste time and money with parcels to China.
Good luck. -
andrew in fairness i know thousands of people that have bought a box from china and had no issues you were just very unlucky mate, you cant tar all o fthem with the same brush bud, have a look around this forum and find a reliable supplier and you'll be fine buddyComment

Would agree that not all clones are poorly made, i have bought and sold plenty of 500s from china and never had such issues of fires and i have not had any sent back to me for any such issues. I took the time to find a good supplier, tested out several and made sure I was happy with the receivers.
I think you just got unlucky there mate and maybe should have looked on here and asked about.

I was under the impression that doreensb only wanted to buy one Dreambox. My point was he would be better buying from a UK supplier just in case there is a problem. I am thinking along the lines on support and postage rather than quality of the box. I made the mistake of buying my box from China because it was a few quid cheaper, but because I had a problem with it, I spend over ?14 having to send it back. Thats a total of ?23.25 for postage for a ?45 quid box.Comment
