DM500S: My channels stopped since two days back.

Hi all,

I have DreamBox 500S with software ver (4.2.0.17.12.2007 and CCcam-2.0.8 enigma), my CNBC and BBC lifestyle were showing normally till two days back, however, today I have flashed my DS500s with new image (PL 1.9.0.3.10.2008 and CCcam-2.0.11), and I did satellite search, and I got CNBC and the other channels, but the problem remains.

What I’m missing here?

you reflashed and now you cant get BBC Lifestyle..?

or you cant watch CNBC & BBC Lifestyle..?

Do you have official subs to these channels..?
if not then maybe where you get them from no longer has a sub..

Update:

Navigating through my DS500, I found a section in the setup called "Software Management Jada (17 Dec) --> Downloads.

Under that Download there are lots of stuff to choose from, and I really don't know which one to download, the only add-on which is installed on it is the CCcam 2.0.11.

P.S., My DS500 is connected to the Internet, so is there any additional plug-ins that I can install to enable me to watch my channels?

They remain encrypted, I thought by flashing anew image would solve the problem.

When I bought it, the sales person told me to keep it plugged to the Internet to view those channels, and yes, if my internet connection goes off, I cannot view them offline.

I think he is refurring to Polsat, most of these channels are no longer available using Emu / Keys on Hotbird as they are now Nagra3 as we all know they were apart of the polsat channel list.

I understood that the Emu CCcam is used for establishing "C line connection" or "F line sharing" with other peers, so that you don't have to deal with installing or updating the "Keys" locally.

Now if I want to use other emu, which is the best one which has the updated keys available on this site.

the ammount of channels that open with keys is very limited..

i can tell you now like alun has that BBC Lifestyle on Hotbird 13E is part of the Polsat service which is Nagravision3.. keys are unavailable

CCcam works fine with keys.. you just need to download and install the following program found in this thread

Keys will open very little these days..

All dreambox emu's have the facility to share lines not just ccam

With DCC place the MD-UTILS.XML into the directory /var/etc/ppanels
Goto your dreambox and push the blue button to access the MENU.
Select installed PPanels

But the problem that the newest version of PMI doesn't allow you to manually install PPanels, it only allows certain types to be downloaded from the Internet!

Even after installing "MyDreambox KeyUpdater V3", and downloading the keys, not even a single channel cleared!

Is that because I'm using the latest version of PLi and CCcam?
