dm500 bouquet trouble

hey guys. wondering if someone could help. Everytime i put a bouquet on (vie dreambox edit)or(ftp) i lose all signals to my channels and when i do a transponder scan it shows 0%
0%
The only way i can get my signal back is to do a factory reset then obviously i lose the bouquets. Does anyone know whats going on here and how to solve this? your help would be greatly appreciated.

the bouquets come with a satellite.xml file and thats probably the issue ,its either not working as it should or some times the satellite.xml file can say for example astra/eurobird 28.4 when the satellite itself is astra/eurobird 28.2 and that for want of a better word confuses the box.

try this ,use the default satellite.xml file that is in the box after the box has been factory reset ,then open the bouquet file you downloaded you should see bouquets files /services files etc and you should see satellite.xml (delete the satellite.xml file ) to delete click on it once to highlight it and then right click on it and options will appear then click on delete . now use dreambox edit as normal to put all the bouquets files into your box ,and see what results you have .

something went wrong and the box goes into a boot loop and now it doesnt even boot at all, so no network access
it looks like i need to reflash. do you have any good links to get a cheap null modem cable?

you should still be able to enter mini-web when its stuck in a boot loop. ive just had a similar problem after updating the img via the box which somehow made to box go into a boot-up mode. do you get the ur bootlogo?? regards mdt
