commando 14.3 and 4,8e problem

i've recently flashed a dm500s with the latest commando.
the problem i got is finding 4.8e viasat extra PL , i always manually install each motor as usuals dont wirk properly.
when i find say viasat promo channel( works perfect) i scan and all's is well.the problem is i struggle to pick up visasat extra PL .it picks them up but they remaimed all blank on sunday just gone.the funny thing is the message showing the motor turning message appears even though its on the blank channel the omtor seems to be wanting to move all the time.
can anyone help please

what size dish are you using? the viasat channels are on a nordic beam txp and a vertical one at that so for uninterupted viewing in all weathers a 1.2 meter dish is recommended although people get good results with a 1 meter is mild weather conditions. the reason why the box keeps trying to turn the motor is because theres no/not enough signal so its trying to peak/find the signal. regards mdt

the problem is with a m8's 90cm sat system i helped him set up.we get the "Viasat Promo" channel ok and at my home i use a 80cm and i get Viasat extra PL no probs all be it , 42%-45% max but it still shows without a hitch.
my m8's viasat PL problem is like when you lock on to the wrong sat with a similar transponder and end up searching the wrong sat if you know what i mean.
if i turn my own sat to 4.8e and press on viasat extra PL it just remains there blank screen till there's a game on but with he's it latches on but the " motor moving to 4.8e" message appears.
on saturday just gone he tried to watch footy , he moved it but the message appeared and nothing showed.
could it have anything to do with the transponders ?.

i take it that you are using usals to align your dish and have tried ajusting your m8,s lat/long co-ords to try and peak the signal? or you could try using diseqc 1.2 on 4.8e to see if you can peak it that way. the viasat promo channel (mpeg2) is on txp.. 12.380.27500.h , which is on the eurobeam and is stronger than the nordic h/v txp,s. . to see if your dish is on astra 4a then check 11.766.h and 12.073.h as these are strong txp,s and recievable on a 80cm easily. i can only give my findings from my perticular location and experience but around here id use a td110 for viasat reception but maybe somebody closer to you can assist you further. regards mdt

have you tried usals on this image or are you just assuming it doesnt work?

as you always manually install each motor and are not using usals, what stored position have you set for this sat on your motors stored positions? if for example, you have this sat stored at position 3 in your motors stored positions, then you would need to select DiSEqC 1.2 in the service scan menu, and then in the motor-settings menu you would need to change the Astra 1A, Sirius 2/3 5.0E sat from off to 3
