jade pli3 image problem

i seem to be having a problem when flashing friends 500s,what happens is this
i flash box with pli jade3 maxvar image,connect box up to and scan for channels 28.2 east,everything goes great and box works great when everything is set up,now here comes the problem,when box is disconnected from wall socket and taken back to his house we connect everything up and box powers up but is stuck on green pli screen work great if not disconnected from power in my house,what could be the issue here,anybody with any ideas,must point out he wont let me use any other image..thanks in advance.

flash image twice before configuring. does the trick for me normally

have you tried not scanning for channels and just adding the bouquets from this site?
