help!! 3g netgear router wont connect to dm500s showing network not ok

Hi could somone please help me with a problem that i have with a netgear 3g router, the router connects fine with e160 dongle internet is shared fine, if i connect to the router through laptop wireless.

now when i add lan cable from router to dm500 i have no internet to dreambox. it says in communication settings network is not ok.

DHCP is ticked

IP: 192.168.0.2 red indicator
Netmask: 255.255.255.0 red indicator
Nameserver:192.168.1.1 green indicator
Gateway: 192.168.0.1 green indicator
enable network is checked
web interface port is 80

i can connect from pc or laptop to the dreambox web interface fine.

im using a gemini image and was working fine with virmin before i changed for wirless, the router im using is a netgear MBR624GU.
have just tried to download from dream box and all is well there but still no network connection in settings and cccam wont connect..
ANY HELP IS VERY APPRECIATED

Hi mate,
Untick DHCP and give your dreambox a static ip addy and see will that work.

Nameserver should be the same as the router
if your router is 192.168.0.1
Nameserver is 192.168.0.1
Gateway is 192.168.0.1

i have checked the Nameserver and it is the same as the router
the router is router is 192.168.0.1
Nameserver is 192.168.0.1
Gateway is 192.168.0.1

sorry made a mistake in previous post the name server was already 192.168.0.1

i can update dm but cant connect to cccam, somone else was having a similar problem in another post and was describing it exactly the same but nobody could figure out what to do people just asking to check the usual, 1 idea is that the ports may be blocked have gone through the manual for the router and have made sure that port is open for dm500 have created a service on router firewall too
still no luck.. any other ideas please thanks in advance.

just to update I connected laptop to router and it took a while to give me network connetivity an error came saying ip conflict and then seemed to have resolved itself as has given me access to the network i can access the dreambox through my browser but the box is still saying no network.. thanks

if you can get the wireless working on the laptop
click start RUN type CMD hit enter
type ipconfig/all hit enter
look what the numbers are and copy them over to the dreambox making sure you give the dreambox ip address a different last number
reboot router
reboot the box

some dongles give out ip address like 192.168.0.100
so try 101 102 ect in the dreambox

i just now set up a 3g router with routers ip 192.168.2.1
and the usb dongle shows ip 192.168.2.100

as your routers ip is 192.168.0.1
1 would put this ip in the dreambox
192.168.0.108

Hi i have just done that and still
DHCP unchecked
ip: 192.168.0.3 RED
netmask: 255.255.255.0 RED
name server: 192.168.0.1 GREEN
Gatway: 192.168.0.1 GREEN

allows to download on dm500 but

network setup is not ok.

went through ip config and was showing same info.

any new ideas please oh thanks for last try..

reboot router
reboot the box

hi i have
unticked DHCP
and added these settings
ip: 192.168.0.108
netmask: 255.255.255.0
name server: 192.168.0.1
Gatway: 192.168.0.1
saved
rebooted router
rebooted the boxthen checked the settings and still its not happy with the ip and netmask showing 2 red..
still showing 2 green for name server and gateway.

hi i have tried that and when i check i get no network AT ALL

when set back to 192.168.0.108
name server
gateway

both indicate green
and ip,netmask remain red.
i have connected my home pc to the router via lan now and it gives me internet on pc with
ip 192.168.0.2
255.255.255.0
dm500s connected to router with
ip 192.168.1.108
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.1

what is your pc ip wireless via the usb router

Have you tried just resetting the router aand starting from scratch?
Looks ok everything you're doing and what Davvo is telling you.

dm500s router probs

hi my laptop was previously connected through the wirless card and was giving internet and network connectivity to the dm.

i then changed it for win7 home pc and connected the same through the wirless card and same network connectivity, i changed thed home pc connection to the lan connection i connected the pc to router on lan1 then the dm500 on lan2
rebooted and just checked still not connecting fully to inetrnet allows to update from server but wont allow cccam to work still showing error in in ip and netmask ather 2 are green.

then

click start RUN type CMD hit enter
type ipconfig/all hit enter

the ip should end in 100 or 101
