What's the best Image to flash on a DREAMBOX 500s?

Also if there is a previous version , how do u delete it off the box? Or does it automatically be deleted?

Final question, My box already has Pli-jade 2.2.1 Cam and Channels for 28.2e pre-loaded'' Is this any good? or is rubbish?

once you flash an image it overwrites the previous one, bit like installing a new version on windows on your computer.

more than likely you want the box to unlock the sly package so i would stick with would you got.

just update the channel frequency if they are old

when reflashing a dm500s the new image overwrites the old image but the old image remains on the box ,a dm500s has a very small memory (which will fill quickly and can cause problems ) and so its wiser to flash erase before changing the image .

when you open dreamup to flash the box look just above where you see flash and you will see flash erase (click on it ) dreamup will erase the current image in a few seconds and then you flash the box as normal .

personally im not a lover of pli but each person has different views about images ,but as they say if it aint broke dont fix it .

are you missing channels ? you can either add the frequencies manually with the remote or put an up todate satellite.xml file into var/etc in your box .

There is channels already on the box. The free ones like channel 5 etc work. But sky sports etc do not work or any other.

So after i go through var/etc, where exactly would I place satellite.xml ?

lastly what is the best image what people tend to use alot?

if the channels are named in the channel list on the box but not opening thats down to your c line (if the channel names dont appear in the channel list at all then it would indicate that you are missing frequencies , you need to follow the advice i gave you in the pm . and once you have the channels opening as they should be we can add any missing frequencies .
