Newbie Problem with DM500S (Clone)

Hi,

Sorry to start with a problem, but I have bought some second hand Dreamboxes and bought a guide of ebay.

I had a problem flashing the pli-jade image, but resolved this by downloading an earlier version of Dreamup.

I am now trying to update the bouquets using Dreambox Edit and CCam using Dreambox Control Centre.

I am trying to program up the box direct from the pc as at the monent I do not have access to a router. I have bought a cross overcable, but whatever I try with either software I get various errors.

Any advice for direct pc to DB connection. At this stage I just want the card reader to read a Sky card and the box have the correct EPG.

yo,iam up here in donegal,i have bought a clone 500s with jade on it,works ok ,and i can conectit up with dcc,is it a case of just adding a cline to it,to make it work?i can only see tutorials for gp stuff on you tube,i am not to good on the old computer side of things,but love the concept of cardsharing etc....thanks

Any kind of ftp program will do i personally use flashfxp add your line to ccam,cfg and upload.
Then sit back and watch.
