does the DM 518 work the same as dm500?

ya the very same same the only difference is it doesnt have a scart lead connection and the power supply is built into it so ya dont have it hanging outside the box
also as the power supply is built in ya have no card reading facility on the box
i have one and it works fine

Daithi which image do you use on yours?

I bought he dm528-s from DX and flashed about every gemini image I got hold of, and some PLi ones, but I cannot get the tuner to lock on ant transponders to search channels, the dish is setup and working with other dreamboxes, so its not the dish. my guess is a faulty tuner, but I kinda hope I would find a image that works with it. but it seems pretty hard.

Anyone got any ideas?

From china you can use dealxtreme, or yaoxcin as they are the 2 most used sellers by members here! or if you want to get it from uk, your best bet will be ukdreamshop as a member above has already posted! ebay do however have a few 2nd hand ones or even a few new ones so look around and take your pick

i used jade pli image have bought 2 of these boxes and worked fine also its a dm518 mate i have never heard of a 528

now i think of it one of the boxes did give me a little trouble to find a sat but i just fiddled about in sat config or transponder edit and got it to lock on that way
