Great failure with DM500-S need help and guide

Dear all masters....

Need help, i load a new images that downloaded from internet to my DM500-S via FlashWizardPRO.exe, after successfully, i reboot the devices, now it turn blue screen with no menu at all.

Now i DIY a null cables base on the "Dreambox_500_For_Newbies_6.1.pdf", hope to flash the devices via Com Port with DreamUP1.3.3.4, eventually it detect no signal from the box at all.

Please guide me to do somethings with this box...since now i can't access to the box to do the IP setup, so how to connect or reflash the device and pump in with new image?

Try a different version of Dream UP. I had better success with certain versions. v1.3.2.1 worked good for me.

try flashing box with dreamup with null cable..

is the box a clone? if it is then you should use dreamup patched version. What i did was ran dreamup patched version. connected box and message appears saying box is alive. erased flash. without shutting off flashed with new pli image. I got the box going that way

i have some problem.use Dreamup Dm500-2.211.I`m ok.every thing work.

Thank you all, sincerely appreciate, I DIY the second the null cable myself last night, finally it working perfectly. I able to load the dk_v1.1.img with DreamUP version 1.3.2.

I recap, finally i found the mistake is due to the PC Serial Com Port-2 seldom use and the connectivity was not sensitive enough.

Now my DreamBox DM500 back alive... so second stage is to get Dish and LNB unit. Is it means once i pointing the dish toward 28.2E Astra 2A (Plus with Network connection), i able to watch all the channel?

Hi Torontostar, i am not sure is a clone unit or else, but it look original to me. As previously once i start the dreambox the first screen appear is Gp in blue color.

However, last night i able to Connect->Erase->Flash with new image files... finally the box the back alive...thanks for sharing.

I thought you would need to sub to a server??
correct me if i am wrong
