What's the best image for DM500-s?

Why best ?

I have tried 3-4 images and all has disadvantages. I have not found anyone good. I have also had troble with dreambox. One problem solved on warranty (lost video output). Other problem is hangup when shifting satelites (not a dnb-problem). If I remove koax and hold it to "ground" and replace it the problem is solved, but it is not an easy way of zapping...

I have not used my dreambox the latest year and now I consider to start it again. Before I do ? want do download new image. This post was interesting since it asked what image is the best. the answars gave images but not why they were best. Has anyone done a evalutaion or have any arguemnts why the recommended image is the best ?

i have though a question regarding the 500s its self.
is it like problems like these can be fixed with a different img or the box its self is incapable to handle any more work because its too weak after some years of use?
