DreaMbox 500s PLI

Tried to switch on Derambox 500s after picture froze.
PLI Image shows on screen then keeps going on and off for a second at a time and wil not load.
I have tried rs232 cable which Dreamup says connected to Dreambox but when I turn power onto Dreambox the flash option in Dreamup stays shaded in grey and cannot be presse to flash a new image onto Dreambox 500s.

Any help and advice please.

Hi mate..you actually need a null modem cable which is practically the same but wired differently.Then it should connect properly.Hope this helps.

try changing the com port to 7
