Hi,
You have one year experience in the Dm 500S.
I am setting up my box to day.
On which sites you would recommend in order to get some tuto and do the job correctly without running the riak of any fatal damage to the receiver.
To date, what would be the latest reliable- Nemesi or Enigma( which version I should download).

Don't order from DVBSeller & the like in China, i ordered a DM500C & a DM500S. Only the C was working when they arrived so i (after about 4 weeks of non answered emails) managed to return the S to China. I sent it 6th October (i had tracking so i knew it was delivered 16th October) and i received an email last night to tell me they have just received it, it is faulty and they will send me a new one out. Wonder if i will get it before christmas?

If you ever have problem jump on their livehelp and speak to simon. Hes the guy which answers all the emails and always answers within hours for me. I use livehelp if I need to know something urgent and hes very helpful.

I want to buy 500S, which image should I put on it? There are plenty of images. Will the receiver come with in image on it? I am asking this because DVBMonkey say on their web site the box will have software already installed although they don't say what software.

Do not buy from DVBMonkey!!

Most boxes come with an image but you will have to setup the extras.

I have a 500s ordered from dvbseller, ordered it on Nov 21st and on EMS tracking it says that it has left the dispatch centre in shanghai on Nov24th,this hasnt been updated since, contacted "Simon" and he said that its christmas and its a bit slower then normal but it will defo get to me and the next time it will be updated will be when it arrives in Ireland.Ill wait with baited breath.

People have waited a long time for theyre box. Also had problems and if returning the box for replacement costs a fortune as there is no real samll shipping to china.

Check the forum sponser linuxsat.co.uk matey. I used this sponser. Got my box next day after order. Had an issue with it got replaced the following day. Just my 2 cents.

I have not tried the other forum sponsers so i can not comment on them.

I've just got my motherboard back from DVBSeller. I sent it in a box, excellently packaged.

I received it back just the motherboard (which looks used) only covered in bubble wrap and sellotape!
