dreambox 500s assigning ip adresses etc, nightmare... ok , a 2 day battle and not over, but no ones said it can't be done, and there was a post on here,that someone connected dongle to a laptop via ethernet to dm500s and all worked well.
i've enabled internet sharing in windows 7, now according to what i've read vodafone only assign dhcp addresses to there dongle, when i enabled internet sharing, it said pick address of 192.168.xxx.1, for the share to work on the dm. this i did, then pc said,thats same as pc, which it isn't as when i run cmd prompt, ipconfig/all, mobile broadband has totally different address,
is there anyone who has successfully set up dongle without a 3g router, and has the green lines in dreambox control center,
can i make the dm dynamic, which i have and it still says, telnet connect then a second later telnet disconnected, any help or is it not gonna work because of no static ip address, on the dongle,!!!!
any help much appreciated, thanks, oh and just to add was able to flash image via rs232 cable with no problems, ethernet different, its a home plug kit, so i'm assuming them to be crossover type and not patched(the cables within the home plug kit) i'm going delirious here so help would be good??
