yellow button on a dreambox 500s

hi all i have a dreambox 500s and have noticed my mutv is now tinypop+1,motors is Radar and i have no true movies or true movies 2 i have been told to press the yellow button on my remote and update it then it will reboot and all come back on well i have done this but its all the same any help with this and if so could you please tell in a simple way very new to this thanks all

hi shadyback thanks for that but as i bought the box of someone my menu button doesnt work is there a code on it?? so i pressed the ok button in the middle of the remote and pressed the greenbutton satellites i have 28.2e eurobird 1..astra2A/2B/2D-new found 27 i can not find atuo scan any help a big thank you

ur menu button doesnt work? it should.. ok, go to your web browser on pc, in address bar, type ip address of your dreambox, if you dont know it, and cant get to it without menu button, then type in the ip address of your router, and find attached devices in network, this should tell you ip address of dreambox.
once on the enigma web interface, click on 'box control' > control tools >then on the left hand side, you should see, 'remote control'. click on that and it should bring up a remote that you can use.

before you buy a replacement, use ur phone camera and look at ir transmitter at the end, then press menu button, you'll see it light up if its working

hi shadyback yes the remote does flash when you press menu and the box also flashes but nothing happens as ive bought it of someone i think they have but a code on it so i can not use the menu button thats why i thought if i got a new remote i would be able to use the menu button so i could do a auto scan for the transponder thanks again

thinking out loud here, but if a codes been put on the box, would not a password entry box come up? anybody got any experience of this?

shadyback i dont no how to get the boxes ip i did go on enigma web interface but i just didnt no how to do it i downloaded the engima browser as i said am very new to this i think i can do a run on my computer then cmd then put in ipconfig/all and what comes up is windows ip conf,ethernet adapter bluetooth network and ethernet adapter local area con this one has go an ip4 address would that one be the boxes ip once again shadyback thank

if your box has had a code put into it just reflash the image and the code will be removed

this will delete the cline, so unless you know the cline not best to do

you have a cs line in the box so it came from someone else i take it.

either connect to your box via ftp of your choice (i use flash) and copy the cs from the box and flash a new image or contact the person from where you got the csline and ask for a replacement and ftp it back when new image installed.

if your menu button don't work then you have lost nothing by doing the above and you need a new remote but i would try a new flash of plijade 3 incase it was a bad flash first time around

just a big thanks to all that looked and helped i got intouch with the guy i bought it of he told to wait and he would update it from hes end then he text told me to press the yellow button and update it my end all on now so thanks all again
