BBC1 2 ITV and Channel 4 clear... Then they don't?

All, wondering if someone can advise please. I successfully edited Sgt Flipflop's Bouquets for my region then ULed to my 500s. When I restart my box I can channel up and down around BBC1, 2 ITV and C4 and all are clear, but if I tune to any other channel and then come back to 1-4 they are suddenly blank. When I reboot the box, 1-4 are clear again until I tune to another channel and come back again, when they go blank again.

My box has "OpenPLi-unstable-dm500-maxvar-20100513-106.img" on it and my Sky card's in the box. I never had this problem before ULing SGTFF's files so I presume I've loaded or edited them incorrectly. Anything obvious in what I've said above?

Haha It used to work fine though! PLI Jade 3 seems to be the favoured 500s image, now to remember how to flash the bloody thing...

Thanks Smirnoff. Embarrassing I can't remember how I did it the first time, should've made notes! I have an 800HD too and I used the interrupt it booting and flash via browser method to re-image that one, but what I did to the 500s I don't remember at all. I know I didn't use a serial cable because I don't have one. I'll give the above a try when I get home, cheers.

Just flash it with dcc, serial only needed as a last resort and takes far too long.

I probably used DCC the first time although I reloaded the prog last night and it didn't ring a bell. Mind you I have trouble remembering last week let alone last March ha.

Update: OK I now have PLI Jade Maxvar installed, and STILL channels 1-4 clear fine the first time you scroll up and down them; but go off if you go to any other channel then come back again.

I've tried using SGTFF's raw Enigma 1 files and the same thing happens - BBC1 Scotland is there, I checkout Sky1, then when I swap back BBC1 has gone. Any thoughts at all, anybody? Is anybody successfully using SGTFF's bouquets on a 500s? FYI I'm using his Enigma2 bouquets in my 800HD and they work a treat, it is only the 500s I'm having trouble with!

l have 2 500's a 600 and a 800 plus a tm500 at work and they all work with his channels

if u open your channel menu and press the red button and search for bbc midlands does that work ?

If I tune to a BBC channel then reboot the machine, when it comes back on I can navigate around all the BBC variants and the ITVs and Channel 4, but as soon as I go to a different channel and then head back to the Beeb, no more Beeb! Only way to clear it again is to reboot the box.

That might be the problem, no I haven't But I have a fixed single dish in sat configuration "one single satellite, 28.2E". Where do I add long and lat if I still have to?

i had similar proglem a while ago, when i was on bbc or something free, there was no encryption symbol, but then turned round to a premium channel, then if i went back to bbc it showed up as being encrypted.

i dont know if this is the exact solution to the problem, but i just went to software update in the menu and did an automatic update, re-installed cccam and it worked fine

That is exactly what is happening I think. My 500s now has a brand new image with new menus and a freshly DLed CCcam on it, same problem as pre- upgrade. But TY, I'll keep on playing!

Its not the lat long.

Do a factory reset of box and reflash with PLI Jade 3.

Now open up dreambox edit with sgt flip flop bouquets.

Toggle the verison think it f8 if not its at top to verision 2 again. then save.

Now ftp them to the box and click reload settings.

Is it the v8 500 you have?
