    Lan is not working

    Hi All,
    I have DM500S,
    Usine PLI JADE 3 image.
Everything was working fine, but one day Lan stopped working.
Lan lights up. But its not picking up the IP address. I am using DHCP.
I also tried downloading the latest menu , but i get message that either internet is down or server is down.

I am not sure , but is it possible that PLI server is down?

May be my network is OK, but its actual online server is down?

Any idea how to fix this problem.

Switch off Dhcp and make your own ip address just remember barring the last digits it has to resemble the routers ip address.
Stactic ip address this way makes life easier and no ip conflicts will occur if you choose a large number as last digits like .100

      Hello Mate,
I was able to fix the problem.
      Issue was :
I am using standard 4 port ADSL (internet) Router + 8 Port Gigabit Network Switch.

8 Port Gigabit Network Switch is there for me connect additional wired devices. This Netgeat switch is then connected to 4 port ADSL (Internet) Router for internet access.

DM500S was connected to Netgear 8 Port Gigabit Switch. For some strange reason it was not picking up network's DHCP IP address. DM500S did not worked well with Netgear 8 Port Gigabit Switch.

I disconnected the DM500S from Netgear 8 Port Gigabit Switch and connected directly into 4 port ADSL Router. Which Worked OK.

DM500S picked up the DHCP and connected to internet.

I did not had this problem with my second dm500S, Which workd fine from 8 Port Gigabit Switch.

So learn something new today, Not all Dm500S will work via additional network switches.

      Thank you for your help.
