DM500S FULL 24HR EPG WITH AUTO UPDATES

I don't know if this has been done before but I have sussed out how to get a full 24hr EPG on DM500s with automatic updates enabled every 24hrs.

Only uses 60% var with complete image , cccam 2.14 and ecm enabled skin.

Does anybody need a copy of the image? uses pli jade maxvar and has all current channel lists for 28.2

Been done before and well known with full 3 day EPG on the Pli images.

I have been toying around with creating an online server for epg data that can be area based per server for people to get it downloaded but nobody seems to wanna help with it..

You could also record your own stuff and have a cloud server similar to that of virmin incase you missed somat.. ie catch up tv that somebody else was courteous enough to record..

Not my work. Its simple if you dont like the menus just change the skin.
all the pli images for the 500s are practically the same in my opinion.

As for EPG servers for the 500s its way to much work for a start, if anyone is that interested in EPG then they can go with a Pli image or commando, if thats not enough then a enigma2 receiver is the answer.

Creating a cloud like server once again i think maybe a plugin of saved recordings would be nice in theory but once again a lot of work and what size of server to hold all that data. Coulf the 500s even handle such a plugin?

This is the question... The DM500s is still a very popular box and IMHO a very good box. So is there no way of getting the mount manager to connect to a dyndns server which you could save recordings to or have epgs stored at...

Totally agree it is still a very popular receiver but if you look at the majority of threads on forums these days Engima2 receivers i.e. the 800 seems to be more popular now this is probably due to HD, better plugins and much more modern and better EPG support.

To be honest dont know the answer to the question but for the recordings maybe a plugin would be the answer which would allow people to upload to a server from there receiver.

I have not seen a plugin that allows you to upload (I may be wrong), just download, so is it possible?
