    changed LNB Lost channels

    Hi
I'm running a DM500 with pli open image with Sly
Problem is i have missing channels mainly kids and music but quite a few others are missing, the channels are there but nothing comes on when i select them. I changed the lnb 2 days ago but all the other channels work. would this be the problem ? . I have also flashed with a new image pli jade but still the same predicament. I have also done a transponder scan and come up with no extra channels
Help would be very much appreciated
    Thanks
    Mike

Are you getting a signal on these channels? Try moving the LNB slightly left and right and see if that helps.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

It might just need skewing slightly to improve the signal, some transponders are weaker than others

Did you check to see if all missing channels are V or H polarisation or mixed

When you said you moved the LNB what exactly did you do? Skewing means rotating the LNB when in it's holder.

I'd eliminate the box itself by taking it to a friends house first to see if you can pick up the missing channels, if it's all good then you might need to re-align the dish.

For re-alignment what I would do is set the LNB so it's straight vertical then use the signal strength on the box to re-align the dish, remember if you're getting some channels then only small minute movements left/right and up/down.

Once you've got the best signal then start skewing the LNB and again monitor the signal strength.

When you press the ok on your remote, look at the channel info in the banner that pops up on your screen, it should show your frequency & either H or V. The reason I ask is because it happened to me a while back, I noticed it was all the channels on H that were gone, the minute I changed the lnb and all was fine. Just a thought.

just a thought, check the cable ends [f connections] you may have a short, inner cable touching outer cable..
