whats the sign of a tuner failing in dm500s

signal jumping from 24%to 90% to 57% am on hotbird, both connections seem fine, is it possibly the tuner?? if so how much and how hard to do?? its a clone!

    thanks in advance..

it may not be the actual tuner itself,it quite possibly be the tuner transistor that is situated behind the tuner,i had a similar problem, purchased the transistor from fleebay changed and everything was fine,if you search this forum im sure you will find how to locate and solve this..

dish alignment right on the edge , hence the jumping moved it about 2 mm, cobnnection stabilised and then locked, thanks for answers people..
