the first thing is do you have your dm500s?(i mean have you bought it or are you just planning to buy it ) if you have the dm500s does it have an image ? (an image is the name for the tv software ) usually when you power on the box on the tv screen you will briefly see the image name such as the GP (gemini project ) /nabilosat /dream elite /pli etc there are quite a few images .check to see if you have an image .
if you have an image on the box and its suitable your about 50% there but if you have no image on the box you will need to flash the box (flashing is the name for putting the tv sofware into the box ) if your box has no inage you will need to flash it using dreamup and you will need a suitable image .i love it when a dreambox comes together.
