Using a laptops wireless to connect your dm500 to the net in widows 7

    Hi everyone
Ive been asked a by a few people how i use my laptop as a wireless bridge for my Dm500's .After an age trying to write a guide.(I'm crap with a pen but in my head it all makes sense).I found this on Google i hope it helps a few people.
follow the guide then just plug ya network cable from dreambox to the laptop's network port and if its ok ya should be able to access the network through your laptops wireless network connection.Again this is not my guide just one i found on google.I wish i got the guy's name who posted it as he deserves the credit.Anyway hope it helps

    1. Plug in your console (WII, Xbox 360, PS3 Dreambox) and allow it to acquiring ip address.
    2. click on the Windows button and type "network and sharing center" and enter
    3. on the left right under manage wireless networks, should say change adapter settings click that
    4. right click local area connection and disable it.
    5. right click local area connection and click properties.
    6. there should be a tab that says sharing go to that tab.
    7. there is a box that says allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection. uncheck it if it is checked.
8.hit ok then right click local area connection and enable it.
9 now select both your wireless network connection and the local area connection and right click and it should have the option to bridge connections. when you click bridge it will do its thing and should work when its done.
A network bridge is just letting one device pass through another's network connection. No routing or NAT is needed

Step nine i think you need to hold shift in when you click both network conetions so they both stay highlighted.

Remember that C14.7 network settings has DHCP=ON by default, please. What you guys are attempting here may require a static IP for your wonderful little C14.7 DM500S box!

        My 2?P anyway...
