Neutrino For DM500S

Hi there,
Is the Neutrino firmware for the DM500S clone or original. Or can this be flashed on both.
I'm a newbie and just recently purchased the DM500S, I installed and set this up over the weekend and ran the software update via the menu as the box was hooked up to the wireless router, the box rebooted itself after updating, but now I'm not getting any channels, just a blank black screen when scrolling through the channels - I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF I HAVE A CLONE OR THE REAL THING.

Not used this image yet.your box was recently purchased from china so it will be a clone. have you scanned on your preferred satellite. It doesn't come preinstalled with the likes of cccam so it will only show FTA till you sort that out.

The software update is not always a good idea as it tends to install the latest drivers which haven't been patched so wont work on a clone.

Yes its a DM500s Blacbox with Commando Image ona motor. I have the set the usals and can get a signal to show but i need to configure the ccam.cfg file to use the card.... i think

Switch Cccam off and use common interface for that sat maybe ? then slot the card into the box, not entirely sure I've never used a card before but I think it picks up the card slot automatically as "commmon interface"

Help with DreamboxEdit and D500S box

I have Neutrino 14.4 installed and also installed DreamboxEdit version 3.0, and get the following

Neither a "services" nor a "lamedb" file was found in directory "%" on the Dreambox. /var/tuxbox/config/enigma
Check the dream path settings on the option panel to point to the correct Dreambox directories and try again.


I keep getting the above mesage when in DreamboxEdit, can someone help me please, I've been at this for the past 3hrs and I'm now losing the will to go on with this DM500S box.
The DreamboxEdit screen shows the following:

DreamboxEdit Options
File paths on the Dreambox: (this is the current settings)
Services & Bouquets files> /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/
User bouquet files> /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/
Satellite.xml file> /var/etc/

Once configured, I then selected the option "Recieve Files from Dreambox" in the FTP-Tranfer Files screen., this is when I get the error message- above in bold red!

WHERE AM I GOING WRONG ! please help, I thnak you in anticipation.

go to options and click sat receiver , that will change where it saves , your sending as a dm800 not a 500


and go to tools and toggle and when u see 2 close and save
