How to get FTA back

I have a dreambox 500S and my friend has put Nova on it for me however, in the process my FTA (Atlantic Bird) has gone. Is there a way for me to get this back without loosing Nova. I'm pretty sure I have the settings for FTA. My dish is still in situ so shouldn't be a problem there.

are nova and the fta channels ya want broadcast from the same satellite
what type setup have ya got exactly
a rescan should bring them back
or just ask yer friend to sort it

Previously in 'satellite Configuration' within the dreambox I had 4 satellites via DISEqC. Now there is only 1.

I still have my two dishes pointing at the satellites, at the moment I am recieving Hotbird6/8/9 (13.0E)

The FTA was transmitting on Nilesat101/102/AtlanticBird4 (7.0W)

My friend of a friend says he can only do Nova and as we loose internet connection here in Cyprus quite a lot I would like to get the FTA back.

I am fairly competant at getting into the breambox but do not want to loose Nova in the process, as he may not do it again for me if I loose it.

Hi. Its a bit confusing what you are trying to say, When you say DISEQC do you have a motor or a switch??. If you had 4 satellites before and now you have only 1 does this mean that the other 3 were deleted?? Which satellite is NOVA on??.. If you are able to give as much info as possible we probably can help you. Also before your friend left did you not check if everything was working properly? Regards.

Originally I had the db500S with FTA on it, a friend then took the db to a friend and, when I got it back it has Nova on (which I wanted) but fta has gone.
So the two dishes are still exactly the same, never been touched, just the dreambox.
No I don't have a motor, but I took photo's from my TV so I could see how the db was set up previously, (I have attached photo). However when I look now I only have 1 satellite (attached photo)
I have done the automatic multiscan as daithi55 suggested but no luck.
Any more help much appreciated, do I need to send you any more information?

Hi again. If the dishes are as they were this means that they are still focused on the 4 satellites. I take it you are using DISEQC switches as you dont have a motor. Have you checked if the switches have been put back correctly?? I am not familiar with your receiver but have come across similar problems with TECHNOMATE. Read your manual if you have one. I think you need to set up your diseqc switches as they were. In the TECHNOMATE this is done through the INSTALLATION menu. It may be the same for you. Regards.
