    dreambox 500s ethernet connection help!!

hi could you please help me with 1 question, well i had a dreambox 500s and the only way it connects to internet is when you keep it in the fridge for a good hour, but now it connects for 2 minutes, then stops the connection, i can see the ethernet light flashing inside the box, then it connects for 2 seconds then dies out

please help! as i have bought a 12 month c line

Try another power supply. Why would you stick it in a fridge?

Anyway try another power supply. Does it boot up ok etc? Is it just the LAN that is failing?

its going to cost more that getting a new one m8 , sounds like a dry solder joint to me , l would take the board out and look for joint , if u cant see it u could put board in oven wrapped in foil for 20 minutes ,, works on car ecu's and iphone boards ?

apperntly ive heard that if you get a image from a working dreambox 500s and use that image to flash your own dreambox that might work?
any one going to lend me a working image with CCcam?

If your LAN is gone then nothing will work. Most images have cccam already in them.

I have a 500s here that the lans ~~~~ed on. NOt even looked at it to be honest.

nope, i used dcc to find out the ip got the ip and looked on the dreambox and the ethernet was dead, i was able to ftp like a few days ago, but i couldnt use it as my remote is dead, and checked today and it was frozen

Maybe turn the temp down on the fridge if its frozen

On a more serious note it does sound like a board problem. I would either get someone to look at it or buy a new one.
