dreambox to pc

i use to be able to view my dreambox 500s on the pc via mFaraj dreambox viewer but now that i got dm800se it wont work also tryed vlc player and wextv in the webcontrol but still nothing can someone help is there anything i need to do on the dreambox as well as on pc to make it work

enter th ip of dreambox into your web browser and you should then see a program called web tv on your pc screen

Tryed that and still nothing just black screen and usaly get some writting in red on to of the page like a error

have you got the webinfo plugin installed on you dreambox ?

Not sure if i do but every thing else works fine just webtv isnt working

Here's what I do.

Assuming you have VLC installed on your PC (I use version 1.1.4 on Ubuntu Linux)

1.) Tune your DM to the channel you want to watch. Once you start streaming you will be unable to change channel. I have found that trying to stream an HD channel max'es out the PC I'm streaming to. You may have more success with a screamingly fast PC

2.) On your PC, fire up a web browser and go to the page h__p://dm800se/web/subservices where dm800se is the DNS name or IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.8) of your DM. This page will return you some information that looks like this:

<e2servicename>BBC 1 London</e2servicename>
</e2service>
</e2servicelist>

Note the service reference in bold.

3.) Fire up VLC on your PC. Go to Media -> Open Network Stream
4.) In the address box insert

h__p://dm800se/web/stream.m3u?ref=1:0:1:189D:7FD:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

4.) Click the Play button on VLC
5.) Wait a second or two for the stream to start

iv installed dreamstream e2 and says streaming failed ? any ideas on whats wrong
