    fiber optic and dreambox 500

    hello i have a dream box DM500 , i'v been using it for the last 3 years with DSL connection with no problems, now after my internet provider changed the cables and the modem to Fiber optic the dream box stopped working!

    i have no clue about forwarding ports or anything like that !! my modem is : Huawei EchoLife HG8245

    please help!

          If you go into network settings on your dm500 and select "dhcp " it should configure itself

              being a fibre optic router shouldnt make any difffrence ( apart from speed of course).
              its stiil about the same in the exchange,
              i would sugest you try what southpaw says.

              you shouldnt need to port forward etc
