DM 500S RESET HELP

Hi there,

Can someone please help me out??

I recently tried to change my skin on my Dream Box 500s, after the installation my box now wont load up. when the box is booted the peter Pan image shows and then black screens.

I cant seen to connect via ftp or DCC programs as the error messages keep comming up. in the past my cline server guys can dial into my PC and normaly update my box for me but i cant seem to get hold of them. is there a way to reset the box to facory settings without using a nul modem cable so i can reflash so i can access the box again. I cant think of any other way..

your advise would be greatly appriciated

i already have my c-line details, i will copy them back into the CCamg file

when i load dream up with the null modem cable the bootloader
doesnt appear when i switchon th box, can any one help??

Try another com-port, cable, serial port, pc, etc...

ive tried port 1 & 3 still no bootloader. I only have one serial port on the back of my PC for the null modem cable so cant try another one.

any other suggestions?

Might try older/other versions of dreamup, beyond that just keep trying over, and over, and over, and... DreamUp is the only way to flash a non-running box, you don't have a whole lot of options...

Not looking good, I've tried about 10 different
Dream ups and still the same issue. I will
Go and buy another modem cable tomorrow
And if that fails I'll have to get another box :-(

got a new modum nell cable today still no joy, please please help?? :-((
