Big problem pls help

Hi people

I bought a dm500s from some one on gumtree
it was working for me yesterday but today the box is stuck on green light frozen and on tv i can not see nothing just a blank black page

i have tried guide to flash it again but when i have started dreamup it says

connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox
when i turn it on nothing happens

i am connecting to my pc using a null modem i bought today from maplin and still cant do nothing

i have even tried searching box ip from dream control center still doesnt show connection
then gives a error
error 10057 could not connect to socket

i have tried DCC to get my dreambox ip then use cmd to telnet to the ip and it doesnt connect
it does ping the ip though

i also have tried all dreamup versions

i just went to my router home page in my browser to see where my router sending data to

i have connected 1 ethernet wire to dreambox from router and null modem to pc from dreambox

says only 1 connection from router and thats to my pc
any ideas please need this fixed

please any1 have a solution to fix this as i need it fixed asap

mind when you first use dreamup with null modem you dont plug in the power cable untill it tells you and aslo you could try an older version or newer version of dreamup

yes mate i have tried all versions of dreamup
i bought the null modem from staples yesterday

the wire i bought has 2 sides and both with holes i plug 1 side in dreambox and 1 side in pc but on pc nothing shows and on dreamup just says switch dreambox on but nothing happens
i have bought this

hi eruption,

when using dreamup you did not mention the com port

just wondering mate if you dont have right com port it
will not say the box is alive and speaking to us

use the drop down and try different com port
