    Dreambox to existing sky satellite

    Hi all how do I connect my dreambox500s to my existing sky satellite?

    unplug sky box, attach the wire to the dreambox

      Whats the best way of getting freeview on the dreambox for the time being? Is it just a case of taking the aerial wire out of my tv and putting it into the DB?

        you'll need an image flashing to it, then you need to scan for channels
        plenty of guides on here

          I wont need the router close to the box will I? and it wont need to be connected to the sky dish? just use the existing aerial wire? Can u post me a link to these guides?

            yes it needs to be connected to dish... its a SAT box.. clues in the name mate
            just for freeview it wont need connecting to router at all

                you wont get freeview from a sat dreambox , you will get freesat

                as mentioned earlier , the detail is in the name

                run a separate coaxial wire from a quad lnb on the dish to your room to have both working

                freeview comes down the aerial cable and goes into your tv , or freeview pvr or dvd recorder and then to the tv
