dm500 lan issue ?

having got my new dm500s up and running i decided some chanel bouquets were in order, dcc got a conection using a wireless game adapter and i was able to viw my cam config file (only tried view mode) , then i moved on to db edit for the bouquets, it wouldnt get a conection. eventualy i gave up.i do remember a message like " timed out - pay attention" or similar. today i notice that even with a direct cable dcc doesnt see the dm500 ? the router lights stay off with known good cable.

any help appreciated

in dcc you need to use ethernet wired connection.
you will also need to know comp ip/router ip/dbox ip .
enter all 3 ips and then all should show green and your good to go

i realise these are needed, it simply doesnt seem to be seen by the router ( no lights coming on) when hard wired.

the db ip remains at the default 10. x.x.x etc.

tick dhcp save then reboot box
