    DM500s and conax card

    Hi all,

I'am a newbie in the world of Dreambox but experienced in Linux. I've just bought a Dreambox 500s with a fresh Digital-Kaos 1.1 installed. After configuration all FTA channels are working very well but I've got an original conax card from polish "Telewizja Na Karte" (Hotbird) and found that what I need to get it work is gbox 2.25d. I've downloaded and installed it from internet via /var/tmp. I've installed "g-box all" config as well, directly from addon manager (server: dk addons).

I couldn't find any emu activation option in DK menu (blue button has no emu options) so I activated it via telnet:

    # /var/bin/gbox225d &

    There was a message:

    gbox 2.25/Linux@PPC ( Oct 4 2007, 22:38:36 )
    Seasonport=0 speed=9600
    could not open /var/keys/irdeto
    could not open /var/keys/seca
    could not open /var/keys/via
    could not open /var/keys/nagra
    could not open /var/keys/conax
    could not open /var/keys/crypto

    opening /dev/dvb/card0/ca1 for cw writing (2nd), on index(s) 01
    mode: any pid

I've set correct transponder and channel to receive authorization but after 12 hours' waiting there is nothing apart from the black screen. Is there anything what I do wrong? Maybe I need different configuration files for conax in /var/keys? Where I get them from? I ask you for a clue. TIA.

    Regards, Camilo

      Hi,

Just to let you know, I've managed to solve it flashing my DM500s with Gemini 4.60 and installing CCcam 2.0.10. After that I had an error message in CCcam Info: "no or unknown card". Finally I removed the card and put it again and the CCcam Info recognized the card and after few seconds I've received the entitlements. Everything's now working okay.

      Regards
