is there anybody in the west mids area which can flash my dreambox i cant do it it seems to be not workin i have used dream up and open com port 1. but i cant get the computer and dreambox 500 to commuicate with each other.

Take iy you're using Dream up 1.3.3.4 null modem cable and ethernet cable?
This on desktop pc or laptop.

I have done everything what it says its am desktop computer I'm using dream up 1.3.3.4 I press connect but nothing happens I stuck big time especially for Xmas

I flashed a Dm500 last week and it wouldnt flash at first.
Ive found its a case of perservering and trying different versions of Dream up.
Take it you're adding power after you start Dreamup?
Try it with network ticked with both ethernet and null modem cable.
What version of Windows is it on?
Try and use it on Xp if you can.

Its on xp and I am takin my time following instructions but it will not connect I'm power up after dream up is on.. I stuck now the box is froze and on a green light doing nothing

Have you tried with network ticked and unticked?
Quite feasable it could be a faulty power supply(psu)

For the sake of 2 quid you can buy another off Fleebay next day delivery.
What part of the West Midlands are you from Shadyback is from that neck of the woods and knows loads about Dreambox 500s he even starred in his own video

Hes probably you're best bet if you cant sort it but normally trial and error will sort it.
I take it you have null modem in com1 and have selected com1 in Dreamup?

you have been pointed in the correct area to get a version of dreamup that will work in your other posts.

try the older version 1.3.3.1
sounds like setup at your end as ive flashed loads iffy clones with that version.

Could it be the null cable or the r323 lead "I think" thats the only think I've not tried ? It worked a few months ago with my old dreambox
