Reboot cycle - Kaos Image v1.1

Hi all,

I flashed my DM500S with the Kaos v1.1 image last night ... and it ended up rebooting constantly (black screen, reboot).

The console showed:

Dreambox DM500
loaded at: 00500000 0060016C
relocated to: 00400000 0050016C
board data at: 004FE124 004FE16C
relocated to: 00405194 004051DC
zimage at: 004058D1 004FD920
avail ram: 00501000 02000000

Linux/PPC load: console=null root=/dev/mtdblock5 rootfstype=squashfs ro
Uncompressing Linux...done.
Now booting the kernel


I ended up flashing back to the standard image, which works as expected.

Any thoughts?

I had the same kind of problem with this Image. I reflashed Box with DK Image
and it worked fine

Hi mate,

Which image did you reflash with? V1 or V1.1? Did you erase first?

I just tried flashing with v1.1 again and had the same problem

I reflashed with version 1.1 and no problems. I have since installed Nabilosat Darkstar Image and have found this to be the best Image for 500s

Reflash it again with dreamup and a null modem cable and it should be ok.
