    connecting via null/usb2

    DM500s
Got a new acer i5 and could not use the norm
cable to flash it, aquired the adapter to usb2
but had connection failure again and again.

Looked around and tried to flash it for the 1st time
using FTP and telnet, i FTPd the image to the box
used telnet of which im a novice to do the next
bit following instructions on line, i watched as it
earased the image then it stopped.

Now i cant get the ip back, tried dcc to search looked
like it was going to connect then failed..kept at that
for a while, tried plugging into my tv to see if it had
any setup nothing, tried a new power lead.

Can someone tell me the right move to make now.

    Thanks

yeah its a bit hit and miss ftp image, rename image root.cramfs and manually update. I have a quite a few bad flash this way. Reason i keep my dell c610 is that its got com port, priceless as them usb serial converters can be a pain apparently

you only have to look in device manager to check the port or change it to the one you want.
