Box locked

hi, have a dreambox dm500s, bought of e##y but cant get into it to access any setting. tryed ftp into box using ip root and dreambox as password, but keeps saying wrong password, think someone has locked the box so you can not change any setting, even the main menu on box is missing loads of options. no expert setup or addon menus. any ideas how i can get into this to put on my own images and setting. thanks

do a search on forum with phrase dreambox password and look through the threads and you will find what you are looking for

tryed a few things like trying to reflash but none worked, flashed another dm500s tonight and all good withall setting cables etc. any ideas plz

try different versions of dreamup. if its definitely not flashing with dreamup and null modem cable and its stuck on green light it might need j tag

hi this box not stuck on green light, just password locked. the box stuck on green light flashed ok for me. thanks

shouldnt be a problem flashing it with dreamup and and null modem cable as you dont need a password.switch off box, start dreamup,press connect and it should upload bootloader. Then flash image of choice
