My dreambox (500) cannot connect to the router !!!!

hi every one
I recently bought a router ( draytek vigor 2820 ) and after I first started it the dream box 500 didn't connect to the internet .
I thought the problem was the Ethernet cable ( Lan ) and I changed it but nothing changed .
the router and the receiver light indicator works ok but there is no internet connection between them.
I thought this was an ip problem or a port problem .
i went to the router home page and i entered the drambox ip and port in ( Nat ) section - Port rediriction many times without any use .
can you help me please

although i tried it before but no use but this this time it worked .
but what if the dreambox changes its ip when i restart it or the power goes out do i have to repate the whole thing once again .
i appreciate your help thanks once again .

if u go onto setting and network and unclick dhcp it will save to that ip u have now

thats true i went and unchecked the dhcp and it also worked.... thats weird
will that mean that the dreambox will now auto work with the router with out checking and unchecking dhcp .

usely the box will use same ip unless you change port in router

i was having issues with dm500 and network port, turned out the PSU for the dreambox was on its way out, a new one fixed it all

just food for thought!
