Just change password for box, but you will then need to try and connect to.that box again with a false password to remove it from dcc front screen

ok, if you connect to the box via dcc then it will store that pass.

If you just remove that pass, close and then open back up its the same pass in dcc.

So say the pass is password1

enter hhhhhhh then connect, obv it wont connect but dcc will store that as the last password used, thus removing the ability to connect via dcc but they do have other options.

why not just block telnet/ftp access from the internet using your router ?

Infact, if its not already been explicitly opened then it should, by default, be closed and you should only be able to connect to your dreambox ftp/telnet ports from within your own private network. Anthing from the internet requires to be port forwarded within the router (or you've got the dreambox in the dmz, which you really shouldn't have).

I took it, he was talking about an internal network and a box he has gave him but not wanint the person to be able to have access to the config rather then being able to remote access a other box over the net.
