A dreambox will get you all Free to Air channels, if your satellite dish is motorised and big enough 80cm and over you will pick up many thousands of Free to Air channels from across Europe.
Software can be modified to enable you receive Pay television from a few service providers on different satellites across Europe (this does not mean Sky Digital) Sky Digital can not be opened.
With a Dreambox you can record and playback television once connected to your internet router and also you can watch television on your computers around your home if connected of course to the router or using a wirleless connection.
And finaly Cardsharing can be used if you have a subscription card or wish to share a card with one of your friends who pays for a subscription, as the discussion of cardsharing is banned on this fourm I will leave you to do the research yourself then you will hopefully understand why its banned.
