Can I connect dreambox dm500s to free public wifi internet network?

Hi there,

I live in city centre, and I am not subscibed to any internet provider, because I am getting free public wifi internet on my laptop. So, I don't have any router or modem in my house, just laptop.

How can I connect my dreambox dm500s on this free public wifi internet network, wich I have on my laptop?

Do you have to login to a portal or anything like that when connecting to the fre wifi?

If you dont and all you do is cannect and off you are then a vonets wifi bridge would work.

Hi what os have you got on the laptop?

If you have a windows OS.
You can use an Ethernet crossover cable between the laptop and the dreambox.
Use internet connection sharing to give the dreambox access to the internet.
