I had to do a factory reset for my dreambox 500s and apparantly I lost all settings especially the motor settings.
What I did was that I went through the normal procedure to find a satellite that is (pli image) when on next page and turned the dish to the east until in this case I got hotbird locked.
I scanned hotbird to get the channels but I only got a few..I did not even get s*y or n*va strangely enough. Then to test it even more I used dreambox edit to get all channels on my dreambox and when I went to s*y italia, the system just keeps on saying turning to 13.0 east when the dish is already in that place.
In fact seeing the settings right now I have:
AGC - 95
SNR - 88
Am I doing something wrong please because it is quite strange having those values and do not have lots of the channels :S.
NB: All I have is only JS* sports which is on hotbird and I am viewing it perfectly but others 0.
