Sky dish in London

Hi all,

I was wondering whether having a sky dish in London would make any difference in the amount of channels I can pick up from a DM500s, or would I have to upgrade the dish to something bigger?

for me you need a motorised dish at least 1mtr in size
that mini dish is only any use for astra 2 at 28e
even a very large dish if fixed on one satellite limits
your choice of whats available

It's for my dad really, so all the extra channels would probably be wasted on him. He would just be satisfied with stuff like sky sports 1 and some sky movie channels, as well as the basic bb1 itv etc. Could he still receive any of those with his current sky dish?

He could only watch the free ones as sky is not viewable without a legit sub because their encryption isnt hacked...
However a 80cm motorised sat dish with a tm5400(has a cam slot) and a diablo cam will get him more channels then sky will ever provide..he will get atleast300 prem games per year if things stay how they currently are..
He will also get a few movie channels and other sport channels like eurosport..
Documentaries too including discovery, nat geo etc
