Fresh out of ideas, think we have covered everything that was possible unless someone comes up with something totally new.

Has this box got jtag points to see if that is an option.

Need help

I bought a dm 500s from amazon and I flashed it with dreamUp and null cable when I connect to the tv it don't apear just a black screen reflash again and same thing any suggestions?

Hi

When you see a black screen try using the remote failing that another scart failing that the red yellow and white outputs.

DM500 SUCCESS FIXED***

had same issue with dm500 green light with no picture on screen just black no menus nothing,
played around with lots of tuts but none worked however i found an old compaq pc (poss nothing to do with the fix but thought id mention it) anyway
1.i connected up via dream up
2.dl jadepli3 fresh from down loads here,
3.this time i erased the original firmware/image three times
4.uploaded once worked first time on boot now watching tv all works perfectly.

hope this all makes sense and helps someone else out.

WOW is that how its done

you didn't really need to erase 3 times a flase erase juring flash would have done same thing

mostly any issues with dreamup are with usb/comm port

so using the pc with a fixed com port helps

The stuck of the DM question. Some time I have experienced that if the signal of the Channel is weak the box stuck. Some time Cam trying to connect with server and not connection then also dm will stuck. May be expert were not agree with me But I have experience while I got trouble of hanging and stuck problem

Just so everyone knows, the brick PSU that comes with Chinese DM500 clones is shite and lasts 2 years maximum. There are normal 12vDC 2A 3 pin adaptors on fleaBay for around a fiver that are far more reliable, as well as running much cooler!
