you mean a null modem cable ? there is a difference . you will need to download dreamup ,you can download the correct version for a dm500s by clicking on the last link of my signature area (my signature area is near the bottom of my posts ) .i love it when a dreambox comes together.

DM500S being picky!
I'm new here so please excuse me if I sound useless. This post is in relation to cardsharing.
My mate Alan's DM500S does not work in his house but it does work in another mate's. (Charlie). Charlie's box does not work in his house but does work in Alan's? This has happened in the last few hours. They are linked to the same external server and they asked me if I could help as they can't get hold of the supplier. I think it might be something to do with VM's new fast hub but I might be wrong?
I took one of my own DM500S's up to try it and it works fine in both houses. Is there any advice out there as to what to try next?Comment
