500c & 500s?

I have brought my 500c over from England to Czech Rep.

Ok this might seem like a stupid question.

Can i use this with the sat dish in my apartment?

If i flash it with a sat image and buy adapter for the back of the box where the aerial goes, would that do the trick, or is the technology inside totally different?

sorry m8 it wont work its not the actual box it is the tuner inside
you cant change the tuners on a dm500 ,well it is possible but the hassle of getting a new tuner you could have bought another one

Ah,thought so, thanks for the info.....i do have a golden interstar cr box in the flat but haven't a clue what to do with that.......can anyone point me in the direction of flashing this etc?

Here you go , I hope this is every thing you need, I know nothing about this receiver, I found fimware and loader, the latest keys from today and loader, so I think thats every thing, Let me know how you get on I can point you in the right direction.

Because I do not know the model of the receiver ! there are three in this range 770 s780 & GI-S870 I have only added the first two, If you need the GI S870 let me know.

well if your in the Czech Rep the satellite dish is most likley facing Thor @ 0.8 west, so Im thinking you will unlock all Digtv channels without having to move the dish, at least you can watch movies PPV and English Premiere league amoung other things if you get it patched

ah the box is 8500CIPR

I take it the STB downloader is for loading images...........which image should i flash it with?

Sorry to ask so many questions, if you can PM me with links for finding files etc i'll go a hunting ;-) or better still, just give me the running order to load the software.

Thor? Ok i will try that, i had it pointing to astra 28.2 but i am right in thinking i won't pick up certain english channels without a certain card?

You will get no pay channels off 28 east without a Sky or Dreambox receiver & subscription card

ah knew i'd come unstuck.

tried uploading the image, i think the file was corrupt it loaded most of it then just stopped....left it for a good twenty mins, nothing happened.

Also, the keyloader..........instructions are in french :-(
