dm 500s box freezing and reboot (not channel freezing)

I have searched the forums but couldn't find any solution to this problem.I have recently purchase dm500 and flashed it with PLi latest MAXVAR image.
The box works fine for around four hour and then freezes and auto reboots after a couple of minutes.During freeze i can not telnet or access the box though its web interface though its possible to ping the box.
I have also tried other images (Jade3 MAXVAR Final and a couple of others) but couldn't get the problem fixed.I have also tried another power adapter but no luck.

Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

ok, i have come accross this problem b4. power supply is faulty , in other words, cheap chinese, pick up a 12 v power supply and try it.. i got 2 boxes one was like yours, and the other some sports channel clearing, and other no signal , cause it was showing up 60% only, not worth sending back

      Thanks for your input.
Last night i have tried a power unit which is absolutely working with another receiver but the same thing happened.
Dreambox restarted after every 3-4 hours.
I am out of options now.

are you flashing this with a null modem lead and computer with serial port?

and also doing flash erase in process

if not, doing so should sort your problems out
