    Bricked dm600

    Hi,

I have an original dm600 that appears to be bricked, the box froze and was rebooted but never came back up.

Below are the steps that have been carried out, wondering if it is possible to Jtag thislike the 500? or could it be something else?

    Thanks in advance,

Box originally running gemini image(few years old)
Box shows solid red and green led on front
Black screen on tv over scart
Connected and flashed original fine via dreamup null modem and re-powered but same behavior
    Sim reseated
Null cable and PC known good

    Dreamup Versions used:
    1.3.2.1
    1.3.3.4
    1.3.3.9

    Images flashed:
    Orginal firmware
    Gemini 4.2
    Pli Jade 3
    OpenPli
    Sif Team 1.9.4C

Hi,I have owned an original 600 for about 5 years, and have not had any problems, great little box and lightening quick remote control action compared to clone 800.I have not had any need to open it up for a few years since replacing C tuner with S tuner and always used dreamup 1.3.2.1 to flash with pli images.I dont recall ever seeing a sim installed, are you sure it is original?I would suggest trying a new or known working power supply to begin with.
    Cheers

ive just done a dm600,which someone tried to do but ~~~~~ed up
i used dreamup 1.3.3.9 and pli jade 3

make sure dreambox is powered off via the plug socket
connect null modem cable (make sure it is null modem cable and not serial cable)
          start dreamup and click connect
it will say power on dreambox
switch power on at plug socket then dreamup should start
          to work its magic

Thanks but that's how I have been flashing, turns it is getting an IP through the network cable. I can connect to the recovery page that allows you to load new firmware when the image fails to load.

I can select and flash an image but it when I restart it goes back to the same state, solid red and green led and only access to the recovery menu or dreamup for flash. Its as if its not holding the image in memory and just reverts each time its after flash.

Seems a shame to bin this, anyone have any other ideas?

            Thanks
